Selected Ha’aros from Talmudica

(what do they do w/TK? accept it and apply to their place&time)

tos. – each amora saying for other person's land..

.. prob. impossible to say they learned in bavel.

perhaps everyone learned in own land, just easier parnasa in Bavel?

Someone showed me the ran here, who says the women worked!

אמר רב ספרא משום ר' יהושע בן חנניא מאי דכתיב {דברים ו-ז}

[and now people rely on tosafos. but how learn tanach form gemara..? and y didn't he just say to do gemara? any form of gemara would need to quote pesukim just like the bavli! c. Torah Temima]

Person owes his existence and much more to G-d and his parents.. (many examples compare parents and shechinah.. below by tzaar, amora said shechina, also on 1st
Tablet..)

דרש עולא רבה אפיתחא דבי נשיאה מאי דכתיב {תהילים קלח-ד}
יודוך ה' כל מלכי ארץ כי שמעו אמרי פיך מאמר פיך לא נאמר אלא אמרי פיך בשעה שאמר הקב''ה {שמות כ }
אנכי ולא יהיה לך אמרו אומות העולם לכבוד עצמו הוא דורש כיון שאמר {שמות כ-יב}
כבד את אביך ואת אמך חזרו והודו למאמרות הראשונות רבא אמר מהכא {תהילים קיט-קס}

pshuto- they realize He's also concerned about us so they say fine we'll accept Him too. but seems a bit superficial,

they relaized it made sense, and then they realized 1st ones also do!

many secular peple dont recognize importance of bein adom l'makom.. norm. they reject parents also (60's) but if recognize parents can then realize also G-d.

Most peple explain that if commanded, its harder, so therefore get more reward, so greater.

But many difficulties: Q1. Not true. In almost all cases, people do better what told, its harder to do extra. (compare women in doing time-mitzvos, etc.). Q2-3. Y would R'Yosef be happy, what difference on past, and now harder nisayon for future! and we should also mind, y say bracha (shelo..) and y celebr. Bar mitzva?

Tos. exp. in almost opp. way:

(So "L'fum tzara agra"! The Tosafos were the Briskers of their day, but most peopel probably wouldn't connect to this.. )

I would say that doing a mitzva when commanded fulfills something more necessary. For example, if someone's father asks him to bring water*, it is really good. But if he just brings his father water when he didn't need it, it's nice, but not the same... Eating Matzah on rest of days isn't same as eating Night of 15th* etc... [I found that AS, Tosafos Rosh., Ritva say something similar.]
